    This backpack is the best.
I've bought over 5 of these backpacks. You will not find a better back pack that is sleek and can still manage to hold all your gadgets, cords, electronics. Everything.

    Hands Down.
I was looking for a new tech bag for my new macbook pro. Was deciding between the ICON or the CITY and ended up going with the CITY for multiple reasons. The CITY, to me, had much more logical pocket placement for organization. It had more pockets to actually organize small pouches compared to the ICON. I'd say that the ICON has more small & medium pockets, while the CITY has more medium & large pockets to work with.

I like to compartmentalize all my gear into smaller pouches, and the mid section of the CITY bag with all its medium+large sized pockets allows me to do that. The mid section also has a hidden zipper pocket that carries my toiletries (eye drops, tissue, band-aids, mints, EDC blade). The front side of the pack has three large pockets; bottom pocket carrying my MBP charger + extension, middle pocket carrying my iPad Air 2 + pens + calculator+screen wipe+etc., top pocket carrying delicate valuables like my sunglasses+phone+keys+etc. The largest zip section carries the laptop in 360 padding along with books, notebooks, folders, papers, etc. The two small pockets located on the left and right back panel carries my earphones (left) and my battery pack (right).

The zippers are smooth and the zipper pulls are quiet. They don't make any noise as I walk around town.

As for cons, or rather thoughts/upgrades, I wished it had removable sternum straps...but maybe INCASE will add that on the next model. Also, I wished it had a handle strap at the bottom base, it would be nice to be able to grab the bag from the bottom, especially when loading and playing tetris with other bags in the trunk for a snowboarding trip. (That's kinda nitpicky though, cause I wish all bags had that LOL).

I've had the pack now for almost 4 months, and it's held up well so far. Only time will tell I guess... God I hope this pack holds up, I really REALLY like my bag.

A truly well thought out pack. Glad I took my time to research+watch videos/reviews and went with the CITY bag instead of the ICON. I've gotten plenty of compliments already!

This is the best backpack i have ever seen!
I really cannot express enough how good this backpack is! I just got mine, in black, and i love it. It has space for every single thing that you can imagine and that you will ever need. It looks amazing, but the best part is the quality. I mean, you can literally see and feel that this backpack has been produced with very high attention to details. I am beyond satisfied! Nice job Incase!

A very good Incase Backpack as a whole
This is my first time to purchase Incase's products and via online shopping due to out of stock for sole distributors. Overall feeling is good and the product quality is very high which is very suitable for me to use at work.
The only thing that may need improvement is the zipper which feel not so smooth when we try to open or close the backpack.

    Incase City
This a great bag with optimal organization. This is my second incase backpack. The only downfall to this bad versus my first incase backpack is the zippers. My original incase backpack uses YKK zippers which are the best in the industry and the City backpack uses inferior zippers to the YKK.

This review would be a 5 star if they still used the YKK zippers but unfortunately I have to give it a 3 star (yes the zippers are that important).

    Greatest Backpack owned!
This backpack was my very first Incase product purchase and easily loved it right way. I was able to pack extra pair of clothes, sunglasses, belt, pens and notepad , and also cords for every electronic device I have packed. So much pockets and ideas for organization is virtually great and very surprise how much you can fit in the bag and still very light to carry around. I live in Hawaii and it works great for our conditions. Able to go to the beach and work with ease since I can fit all the stuff I need for the day. I loved when it came to traveling, able to get things packed into and organized all through the bag for my access and got a lot praise for the organization the bag provided from TSA (How funny is that). Pretty much made me a carry on only person and take up less space than anyone else in the plane and get asked how I do it. I also get asked where to get Incase. So if you want a backpack with a lot of pockets, this is the bag for you. I brought other brands, but Incase is the very best brand for me.

Favourite bag so far, but zip broke after a year
This bag is brilliant. So many different pockets and once you've got everything organised it's a great asset to your daily life.

HOWEVER - and this is a big deal. The zips on the main laptop compartment broke after 12 months. Needless to say at this price range you would expect tougher zips. I'm going to have to buy a new bag now as it's out of warranty. Other brands offer lifetime warranties and I would be very pleased to see incase follow suit. Such a shame.

    High Quality, but bulky
I like this backpack a lot. It has a ton of pockets and is well made. The only drawback is that it is a bit bulky. I am 5'5'' and it looks a little long and big on me. My favorite part is that the front small pocket is made of soft material that protects my phone.

    City compact backpack
So the laptop sleeve will not be large enough for a Dell 17.3" laptop, but it you skip the sleeve and slide laptop in the main compartment it works. There's enough padding around the zipper that I feel comfortable just carrying between office to car and home. The straps are nice and thick and if you aren't running with the pack, sturdy enough not to slide and you can get away without the need of a sternum strap. I bought the black color of this pack and it looks cool and has lots of pockets for office accessories and paper work. This is my second Incase purchase. Not too many padded backpacks available for the heavy PC laptop market and if you want to save your shoulder (from a messenger bag strap ) this is a great option.

Great bag, beautiful design but lacks stuff from my old bag
I bought this bag as a replacement for my old Incase Sling 17" which I've had for about 10 years now.

The bag is great. It has all the pockets that I look for and expect from an Incase bag. I've used Incase bags over the last 12 years and found that their pocket organisation is my favourite part of their bags.

A few problems which I found with the bag is that:

    1) I'm currently using a Retina 15" Macbook Pro and I put it in a Incase Neoprene Sleeve when I travel. The slot for the laptop is quite tight for this to fit so I have to shove it in when I travel.

    2) the side zip pockets under the straps where you small items can be a bit tight to put in items and sometimes quite hard to put things in. I put my Clipper card in there and it gets quite fiddly when I return it after getting off the BART.

    3) I would've loved for it to have a more ran resistant outer cover like my old bag. Although I understand that this is because of the design, and the zips have a rain resistant zip covers to stop water seeping in but the front zip is not water resistant at all.

    4) The straps provide great support and are comfortable and quite soft when carrying a full backpack. Would've loved to see this with a sternum strap, it sometimes tend to slip off my shoulders when I carry a full bag and wearing jacket.

Another small issue I would love to see so that the Incase site is a bit more intuitive is the volume of the bags. When I was looking around for this bag the website only says .04 which is quite confusing. So as a result I had to look at other review websites to see the volume of the bag.

Just in case you were wondering, this bag is 21L.

    TLDR;;

    Pros:
Bag is great, lots of pockets.
    Great support, straps comfortable.

    Cons:
Laptop compartment quite tight and hard to put in when your laptop has a sleeve.
Side pockets can be quite hard to get to.
Wish it had more rain resistant materials.
Website didn't state the volume of the bag and had to research online to get info.
No it had a sternum strap.

    Incase City
absolutely love this bag for my daily commute around the city. It has enough pockets for everything i need in a sleek & stylish package. The interior fur is premium quality & the back support is really comfortable when the bag is fully packed. The only con for this bag (as a student) you have to choose whether all your tech gear or text books makes the cut.

    An OK backpack
This is my second Incase bag and I was super excited to order this pack, but when I got it i was disappointed. There are lots of smaller pockets to stash your gear, which is what I wanted. But they are cramped and hard to get to. The large pockets do not open far enough. It's almost like there is an invisible restrictive band around the middle. Also some of the small pockets are mesh but do not have elastic top bands to if the bag tips everything falls out.

It's a good looking and comfortable bag but I think it misses the mark with functionality.

Get this backpack -- or the compact version
I bought this backpack (and the compact version, for my boo) and I have to say I was impressed.

There are SO MANY POCKETS. You'll be delighted for weeks just by the versatility of the backpack.

The whole thing, loaded with my laptop and everything, weighs less than my previous backpack emptied. Light, expandable, and comfortable. This is a solid, solid choice. You can't go wrong with this one. (Unless you want something that can double as a suitcase)

    Good Backpack
The only reason I didn't give this backpack 5 stars is because it is not as good as the ICON. I have the ICON and the pockets and organization make more sense than the way the City is set up. Also, the zippers on the City stick a little bit making it a bit annoying to get open. Overall, it is a very spacious backpack with very clean and attractive styling. The contrast of fabrics for the exterior is beautiful. The City is a great addition!

    Looks great, tons of storage
Messenger bags are starting to give me back pain, so I wanted a grown-up backpack that looks good, and is functional - without being too bulky. This bag fits the bill. It's got a fairly slim profile, but manages to fill out and fit a fair amount of stuff in there. My only problem with this bag is that there are so many pockets and storage compartments that I can never remember where I put stuff. It's a blessing and a curse, I suppose. It's very comfortable to wear as well, though it could have benefited from some cross-chest straps for extra support (then again, that would probably have taken away from the streamlined look of the bag). All in all, it's definitely worth it - I highly recommend it.

    Awesome bookbag
I did a lot of looking around before buying this bag. It's pretty awesome. Everything is perfectly designed. There's tons of pockets for anything you could think of. And it still has that slim look to it.

My one concern is that the bookbag strap has a small piece of plastic connecting it to the bag. I live in Louisiana so I hope it doesn't melt.

    Solid & Comfortable
Purchased this backpack to comfortably travel with my 17" Toshiba laptop. While the laptop is too big to fit in the "laptop sleeve", it easily fits in the padded main pocket which is all I really needed. The backpack is stylish and extremely comfortable due to the padding. Highly recommended.

    City Backpack
Bought as a replacement for a well loved but decrepit predecessor, I was apprehensive about a new system. I needn't have worried. Well designed, both functionally and aesthetically this performs in every dimension. Electronics are coddled and papers are organized. Smaller items find their natural homes easily. Only three (marginal) improvement comments: zips should descend further, a key clip or strap would be useful as would an external D-ring for bag tags or IDs.

    Fantastic backpack!
Recently upgraded from my 3 year old Incase Nylon Backpack (which is still in great shape, just wear & tear after years of abuse) and I can't say enough good things about this bag. It looks better than it does in the photos, it's lightweight, it has more & better located pockets than my old one did, and it retains it's shape well when fully loaded. A water bottle pocket would be nice, but this bag is otherwise perfect.
