Mail-in Recycling Programs
If you cannot find a local recycling center, consider these mail-in programs:
- TerraCycle - Offers e-waste recycling boxes for purchase that you can fill and mail back for recycling.
- Dell Reconnect (U.S.) - Partnering with Goodwill to accept Dell electronics and other e-waste for recycling.
- Apple Trade-In Program - Recycle or trade in Apple devices for credit or environmentally-friendly disposal.
General tips for e-waste recycling
- Erase Data: Before recycling electronics, make sure to erase all personal data from devices.
- Separate Batteries: Remove any batteries from devices and recycle them separately, as they often require special handling.
- Check for Local E-Waste Events: Many cities host e-waste collection events, making it easy to drop off multiple items at once.
